Man Who Couldn’t Cry
My favorite Neil Young album is the very first, the eponymous one, the one that was re-released with a new mix not long after it hit the marketplace (you can tell the difference by the front cover, if the picture takes up the whole cover, it's the old, wrong one, if there's the name "Neil [...]

Commercialization/Authenticity
If I hear one more time that commercials are the new radio, that no one cares about endorsements and sponsorships, I'm going to take my vinyl records and move to Tierra del Fuego.Ain't that a laugh. Vinyl records. Even though I'm a big believer in vinyl, that it sounds better than CDs, it's not even [...]

ISU blocks illegal peer-to-peer file sharing (Daily Vidette)
Despite the repercussions of downloading media via illegal peer-to-peer applications, over 90 percent of ISU students who lived on-campus during the 2007- 2008 school year used P2P software. The high volume of file sharing in the residence halls has led to a recent restriction of p2p applications on all of ISU's on-campus networks.

Joe Biden's pro-RIAA, pro-FBI tech voting record
I don't like Biden's record on our type of issues, however (with a look at the glass being half full) if he becomes the VP, at least he will only get to vote on tech issues when the Senate is at a tie. (And Obama hopefully will still have the power to veto anything too pro RIAA/MPAA/etcAA.) Biden as VP puts him in a place where he can do less harm.

Composer Says Beijing Olympic Committee Ripped Him Off
"My arrangements of public-domain anthems are actually original compositions from a legal point of view," said the Czechoslovakian native to the Post from New York, "which means if someone wants to record them, they have to purchase the material." - It would appear that the Beijing Olympic Committee has infringed his copyright on a massive scale, since national anthems are played at each medal ceremony. An estimated 3 billion people worldwide are tuning in to the games via television.
